Manaslu region is named after the mountain Mt. Manaslu (8163m/26781 ft.), which is the eighth highest mountains in the world. This untouched region has become famous trekking region of Nepal. The region was only opened for the trekkers since 1992 and become the best alternative of regular route encountering awe-inspiring landscape, art, culture, and lifestyle in the Lap of stunning Mt. Manaslu and crossing over the most dramatic Larkya Pass (5160 m).
This trekking region offers different stunning trekking opportunities for travelers such as Manaslu circuit trek, Tsum Valley Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek via Lharkya Pass are the most popular trekking route. The trekking trail follows an ancient salt-trading route along the Budhi Gandaki river. En route, 10 peaks over 6,500 metres (21,300 ft) are visible, including a few over 7,000 metres (23,000 ft). The highest point reached along the trek route is the Larkya La at an elevation of 5,235 meters (17,175 ft).
