Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu - Altitude: 1350/4428 ft.
The first view of Nepal from the window of your plane could be a lifetime memorable view as the clear wide and white range of Himalayas shine straight in-front of your eyes. The ecstatic beauty is so rare that you won’t be able to blink your eyes. Welcome to Nepal; large heaven within this small planet Earth. On your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, one of our representatives will pick up you and escort you to the hotel as well as help you to check-in at the hotel. After your refreshment, you will be briefed about the next day trip. In the evening, we, the Treks Planner Nepal will offer you a welcome dinner introducing Nepalese cuisine and culture.
Day 02: Cultural heritage tour in Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Breakfast)
After your delightful breakfast, you will be introduced with a guide and takes you to UNESCO Heritage sites of the valley where you will observe living heritage of Medieval Nepal - Witness the biggest Hindu temple of Nepal, Pashupatinath and capture the sacred moments of Hindu death ritual at Aryaghat in Pashupatinath. Drive to the hilltop world heritage site and a center of Kathmandu, “Swyambhu” Stupa-meaning “self -emerge” and belief that the hill emerged impulsively from the great lake that once covered Kathmandu valley. You will also explore the biggest Stupa in the world, which resembles like Tibet with colorful outlets encircling the stupa that sell Tibetan products and Buddhist religious materials. After exploring Boudhanath, you will head back to our hotel.
Day 03: Short Cultural Tour & drive to Chitwan (Altitude: 150 m/ 495 ft. Drive: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Kathmandu or Basantapur Durbar Square. Listed as a cultural World Heritage site by UNESCO, Kathmandu Durbar Square is a cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets that dates back to the 12th to the 18th century. At the square, see the Nepalese style of architecture, Hanumandhoka Palace Museum, Taleju Temple, Kumari Ghar (House of the Living Goddess), along with wooden art representing the Medieval craftsmanship.
Afterward, catch a bus for a drive to Chitwan National Park. On arriving at Chitwan, we shall check into our resort. You will drive along the Trishuli River in a snaky blacktopped Prithvi Highway viewing the green hill and highway life. Reaching Chitwan, you can get refresh and get back to Lobby for a short brief about the Chitwan Tour program by your Safari Guide. After a while, get ready to go for Tharu village walk. Tharu is ethnic group hugely settled in the Terai belt of Nepal. Explore traditional houses of Tharus, their lifestyle and even go to visit a museum that exhibits the traditional items representing Tharu culture. In the evening, don’t miss to go in the bank of Rapti River for a perfect sunset view. Your guide will give you a time to get ready for a Tharu cultural dance show; enjoy the Tharu stick dance and a crazy peacock dance reflecting the traditional lifestyles. Have a delightful dinner at the hotel and a wonderful time.
Day 04: Safari Activities in Chitwan National Park (Altitude: 150 m/ 495 ft. Meal: BLD)
Chitwan National Park is a natural Heritage Site where the endangered rare species like One-horned Rhino and Royal Bengal Tiger are preserved. Today, you will get involved in several jungle activities. You will be taken for the dugout canoe ride that gives an opportunity to see aquatic life inside the park as well as the rich bird life park houses. See crocodiles including the protected Gharial in the bank of Rapti River. Gharial is an endangered species of crocodile found in Nepal along the tributaries of Ganges. The most important highlight at the park is Elephant Ride deep into the jungle, where you will get enough opportunities to sight one-horned rhino and if lucky enough, you might sight the Bengal Tiger. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire and have a wonderful time.
Day 05: Drive to Pokhara (Altitude: 820m/2705 ft. Distance: 156 km Drive: 4/5 hrs. Meal: Breakfast)
Today, guide shall take you for an early morning nature walk in the wildlife park, which is an opportunity for sighting birds’ species. After the walk, have breakfast and then drive towards Pokhara. It is a short ride first along the retracing road all the way to Mugling and then, you will chase Prithvi Highway to Pokhara. In the noon, you shall arrive in Pokhara and check into the hotel, which lies at the lakeside- the major tourist hub across Nepal. Then, you can set out to explore the Lake Town. Evening boating at Fewa Lake is really pleasing.
Day 06: Early Morning Excursion trip to Sarangkot; sightseeing of Lake city- Pokhara (Altitude: Sarangkot: 1592m/5254 ft. Meal: Breakfast)
Early Morning, get ready for an excursion trip to Sarangkot. On a 3 hour walk (up to the mountain) from Pokhara, lies Sarangkot. Located at an altitude of 1592 m, it is the highest point on the Pokhara valley rim. From here you can see the whole Pokhara Valley and the Annapurna ranges (Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Machhapuchure, Annapurna III, Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Lamjung Himal). It is a perfect place to view the magnificent snowcapped mountains during sunrise.
Take breakfast and get ready for full day exploration of the amazing lake town Pokhara. You will have a sightseeing tour of Davis Fall, Mahendra Cave, Seti Gorge, and enjoy the boat ride in Fewa Lake. In the afternoon, if you prefer, you can also try Zip-Flying or Paragliding and a waterfall Bungee Jumping in Pokhara. In the evening stroll around the crowded tourist hub Lakeside.
Day 07: Excursion trip to Peace Pagoda; drive to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Drive: 5/6 hrs. Meal: Breakfast)
When you open your eyes today, if the morning is sunny you will instantly fall in love with Pokhara as the Himalayan panorama seen from every window in Pokhara is so alluring. Get ready to retrace back to Kathmandu. After having breakfast, you will be received by our driver and then, you will drive to Peace Pagoda, roam around and stay for a while making the mind peaceful. Considering time, drive back to Kathmandu. You will be helped to check-in at the hotel. Taking time, refreshed yourself and even you can explore Thamel.
Day 08: Sightseeing Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Square (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Breakfast)
You can wake up lazily and take a delightful breakfast. You will meet the guide at the hotel and take you for a sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Bhaktapur is an antediluvian town which lies in the east corner of the valley. Bhaktapur Durbar Square within the city is an anthology of the pagoda and Shikhara-fashioned houses surrounded around the 55-window palace made up of bricks and wood. Your camera clicks here so often because of the cultural affluence scattered all around. The stone and bricks paved streets, the wide courtyards of the medieval ages and the finest wood works seeable in the numerous primeval edifices of the surrounding vicinities takes you back to the medieval era at least for a while.
After Lunch, you will drive towards Patan Durbar Square. It is a city with fabulous art and craftsmanship. The heritage site houses so many beautifully constructed ancient monuments and sacred shrines. The architectural style of Krishna Temple, Patan Museum, Kumbheshwor Temple and Golden Temple among others are the notable monuments you will explore there. While exploring the place, you shall closely observe the erotic depictions carved in the wooden planks of most of the monuments. You will also get enough glimpses of the typical Newari culture around Durbar Square. After the visit of two medieval kingdoms, you will be taken to the Hotel. Enjoy remaining time at your own.
Day 09: Depart Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Breakfast)
Our tour officer will pick you up from your hotel three hours prior to your departure time. You will be escorted in a private vehicle to the airport for your final departure. Have a safe flight home.
