Walking in higher altitudes is more physically demanding than walking in the lower altitudes, however, if we are in excellent health with average physical fitness, have a positive attitude, self-confidence, and strong determination, we can accomplish the trek successfully. Exercising and jogging regularly for some weeks prior to the trip is a good idea to enhance our strength and stability. Past hiking experience would be an asset, but no technical skill is required for this trip. It is important that we consult with our doctor before we decide and set up for the Everest Base camp trek. Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival| Altitude: 1,400 m
Our airport representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival. He/she will escort you to the respective hotel in a private vehicle. Your prior trip meeting will be scheduled on the very day at the hotel before dinner. However, our airport representative will give you a brief idea about the second day’s schedule on your way to the hotel. During this meeting, we will introduce you to your leader/guide. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your trek or anything that is related to your trip. And the night you will be spending at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding | Altitude: 2610 m | Trek: 3/4 hrs | Meal: BLD
An early morning start takes us to the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for the 35-minute scenic flight to Tenzing and Hillary Airport at Lukla (2,804 m). On arrival at the airport, the guide will brief you and introduce your porters before we begin our trek towards Phakding (2,610 m). After landing you’ll have time to explore the village while our Sherpa crew sort and load our trekking equipment. Then the trek begins by descending towards the Dudh Kosi River where you’ll join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2,713 m). This walk is considered to be a short hike that will help you to acclimatize. After almost three to four hours of walk, you will reach Phakding. There are many beautiful monasteries to visit, a beautiful Lukla village and a breathtaking terrain to view. There are many resting places and lodges in Phakding and you will be staying in one of these lodges tonight.
Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar | Altitude: 3445 m| Trek: 5/6 hours | Meal: BLD
You’ll continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing the majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering the Sagarmatha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. You can find many good restaurants, hotels, lodges shops, money exchange, bakeries and teahouses as Namche is the biggest village along the whole Everest trail. Major attractions of this day are an amazing view of Mt. Kusum, Lhotse, Nuptse and the first Glimpse of Mt. Everest. You will stay in a guesthouse tonight.
Day 04: Hike to Khumjung and Acclimatization in Khumjung - Altitude: 3,790 m| Trek: 1 hr | Meal: BLD
Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche | Altitude: 3860 m, Tengboche | Trek: 4/5 hours
The trek for today will start shortly after breakfast. Today you will follow the trails along the glacial water of Dudhkoshi up till the altitude of 3867m. On your way, you can enjoy the phenomenal view of the Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Enthralling Thamserku exists in the close vicinity of the trail along with the lush of the temperate vegetation including Rhododendron, Oak, Juniper etc. You might also get a glance of wild fauna like Himalayan Thar, Musk deer, Snow Leopard and different varieties of birds prevailing in that region. Upon reaching Tengboche; you can visit the famous Tengboche Monastery decorated with beautiful Sherpa art and beautiful wall hangings. You will stay overnight at a lodge in Tengboche.
Day 06: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche | Altitude: 4360 m, Dingboche | Trek: 4/5 hours | Meal: BLD
From Tengboche, the trail drops to Debuche crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of mani stones. Your uphill trek continues, taking you to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. You will spend the night in the lounge tonight to avoid being affected by the altitude.
Day 07: Trek to Lobuche | Altitude: 4930m, Lobuche | Trek: 5/6 hours | Meal: BLD
Today, the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits. You will continue as heading to the village of Lobuche which is located at the foot of the giant Lobuche peak. Due to change in air density as the air density gets lower n lower and some of you may be facing breathing problem starting from this point. You will stay in a guesthouse tonight.
Day 08: Trek to Gorakshep (5160m) and Hiking to Everest base camp (5545m.), back to Gorakshep. | Trek: 7/9 hours | Meal: BLD
This is a big and difficult day walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5,365 m, the closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment. During spring, there will likely be expedition teams about to attempt the summit. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. Soon after which you will return back to Gorak Shep for the night.
Day 09: Early morning hike to Kalapathar (5545m) down to Gorekshep then fly to Kathmandu with Helicopter | Trek: 2/4 hours | Flight Duration:1.5/3 hours | Meal: BL
This will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of this whole trek. Most of the morning is spent climbing Kala Patthar, a small peak at 5,555 m. The ascent is demanding but the climber gets the most magnificent mountain panorama – Everest, the highest point on the planet at 8,848 m, towers directly ahead and on all sides loom the giants such as Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others. Trek down to Gorakshep for breakfast and you take your helicopter ride back to Kathmandu. The ride back provides you with an aerial view of the entire region. It is a remarkable way to end your journey to Everest Base Camp.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our airport representative will transfer you to your hotel from the airport. You will stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Departure
The trip concludes – our airport representative will drop you to Kathmandu’s Tribhuwan International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.

Nepal arrival visa.
Passport and Visas:
First, be sure you have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. You can obtain visas for Nepal from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Airport. Nepalese visas cost USD 25 for 15 days and USD 40 for 30 days till date.
Get the required visa for Nepal.
You can get Nepal visa prior to arrival from the Nepalese Embassy at your home country. Likewise, you can easily get an up on arrival visa at Kathmandu airport and other different borders from Nepal. Bring Official Papers
Some of the required official documents are your valid passport, 4 extra passports sized photographs (for trekking permits), travel insurance, airline tickets, and luggage tags. Visas can be obtained upon entry into Nepal. For detail information, we request you to visit our visa page.
Money & Credit card Info
We find that most of the credit card, master and visa card is blocked from your card provider. It may be because of a security reason. It, sometimes, may bring you in a problematic situation that you can't get money from ATMs and that you find difficult to pay for your treks and tour. To find yourself free from this problem, you can call your card provider before you travel to Nepal and inform there that you are traveling to Nepal. Ensure them to give the authorization for the payment. In Nepal, you have to pay 3.5 % credit card commission s per Nepal Bank rules, on top of your payable amount for the trek cost. So, please be sure that you bring some cash in USD to pay us. Likewise, be sure you have brought some small amount for your daily expenses as well as for those items which are not included in our cost. We request you not to change money in the Airport. The exchange rate is very low there. Our office provides you with the facility to change your money. Or, you can take help from Money Changers in Thamel.
Travel Insurance:
Our clients must have comprehensive travel insurance package. Their insurance must cover against medical, personal accident, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, lost of gears, natural calamity, theft of or damage to baggage etc.

Buying and Renting Equipment in Kathmandu
It is not really necessary to spend a large amount of money buying extra equipment and clothing prior to your trip. It is because most of the trekking equipment can be hired from many adventure shops within Kathmandu. Most of the gear is locally manufactured (hence a lot cheaper). Some Chinese gear is likely to be more expensive but qualitative. Sleeping bag and down jacket are easily rented. Each item can be rented for less than USD 1, for a day. You have to manage other items buying them yourself. However, these items are more likely to be cheaper than those in your hometown. We will arrange all the necessary items you need on the second day of your arrival.
Vaccination for Nepal
All travelers should consult with their physician or update on vaccination requirements before travel. (Your doctor or health-care provider will determine what you will need, depending on factors such as your health and immunization history, areas of the country you will be visiting, and planned activities) For traveling to Nepal; we recommend you to take a vaccination of Polio, Tetanus, Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Rabies etc, it is not really must but recommended.
