Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Dinner)
On your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport, one of our representative will pick up you and escort you to the hotel as well as help you to check-in at hotel. After your refreshment, you will be briefed about the next day trip. In the evening, we, the Hiking Nepal will offer you a welcome dinner introducing Nepalese cuisine and culture.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (Altitude: 2840/ 9372 ft. Phakding: 2610 m/8613 ft. Flight: 30 minutes Trek: 3/4 hrs. Meal: BLD)
On a clear bright morning, you will fly over the snowcapped mountains to one of the most electrifying high altitude airports, Lukla at an altitude 2900 m. Your guides and porters will accompany you here for the trek. Hence, the trekking adventure kicks off. Beginning the trek, you will slide down almost 500 meters to Dudh Koshi River. Then, the trek winds along the trial beside the River towards Phakding. Passing several mani-walls and boulders engraved with Buddhist prayers, you will arrive at Phakding where you will spend your first night of your trek.
Day 03: Trek to Namche (Altitude; 3440 m/11352 ft. Trek: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
The trek chases the northern trial up the Dudh Kosi valley to Monjo. At Monjo the trek officially enters Sagarmatha National Park where you have to issue Sagarmatha National Park Permit Card. Continuing the trial along the steep uphill climb while savoring the first glimpse of Everest, you will arrive at the hub of Sherpa- Namche Bazaar.
Day 04: Rest day for acclimatization (Altitude; 3440 m/11352 ft. Meal: BLD)
It is a day to acclimatize you with higher elevation. On this day, you can go for a short hike to Khumjung, a beautiful settlement of Hospitable Sherpas. OR, you can roam around the Namche that offers Internet Cafes, restaurants, ATMs, and colorful markets. Even, you can enjoy the traditional living of mountain dwellers that is getting complimentary by the awe-inspiring surrounding and high altitude flora/fauna.
Day 05: Trek Namche Bazaar to Phortse Tanga (Altitude: 3,680m/ 12145 ft. Trek: 5-6 hours Meal: BLD)
Today, you will climb the Khumjung hill and descend to the east of the village down the broad valley leading to the Dudh Koshi from where the route turns north. Treading to the ridge top that stretches down from Mt. Khumbila, which is manifested by a beautiful “Chorten”, you will begin to explore Mohang. It is the birth place of the reincarnated revered monk of Rongbuk Monastery of Tibet, who has flourish Tibetan Buddhism in Khumbu and neighboring regions. Beyond, Mohang, you will slide down along the series sheer switchbacks on sandy slope to Dush Koshi Riverbed. Phortse Tanga is a small village that lies at the riverside.
Day 06: Trek Phortse Thanga to Machhermo (Altitude: 4,470 m/14750 ft. Trek: 4-5 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Your trek from Phortse Tanga begins with the uphill climb to Machhermo. The trail today penetrates wonderful rhododendron woods and then arrives at Tongba. Beyond Tongba the trek still chases uphill trail and passes beautiful villages- Dhole, Labarma and Luza before arriving at Machhermo.
Day 07: Trek Machhermo to Gokyo (Altitude: 4,800 m/15840 ft. Trek: 4-5 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Today the trek begins with uphill walk to a ridge that caters fantastic view. From the ridge top, the deep valley Kantega down and towering Cho Oyu 8153m above are eye-feasting sights. From the ridge top you tread along the widened valley and cross Phangga- pass, where 40 people during 1995 avalanche lost their lives. Sliding down to the riverbed and then chasing along the steep trail via the terminal moraine of the Ngazumpa Glacier, arrive to a stream. Crossing the stream on a small iron bridge, tread along the leveled trail and arrive to first Lake Longpongo, at 4690 m. Soon you will sight the second lake Taujung Tsho. A short walk from second lake brings to the third lake called Gokyo Tsho. The famous village of Gokyo sits just above the lake with an amazing backdrop of Mt. Cho-Oyu. You will have lunch & post lunch set out to explore Dudh Pokhari. Overnight in Gokyo.
Day 08: Gokyo Valley: Acclimatization Day - Optional Hike to 5th Lake (Altitude: 5000 m/33000 ft. Trek: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
This is a day for proper acclimatization before heading towards Cho La Pass. However, it does not means just to sit in teahouse with books & coffee. Today, you can go for a hike to Gokyo Ri- an ideal vantage point to sight extremely the beautiful vistas of Everest and its closest neighbor; fourth lake and fifth lake that caters the demanding views of Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makulu.
Day 09: Trek to Tragnang (Altitude: 4700 m/15510 ft. Trek: 4/5 hrs. Meal: BLD)
After spending magnificent day in mystical Gokyo valley, you will set your journey towards Tragnang. You will walk a bit zigzags trail passing the forest and crossing small streams. You have to climb the second lake and Ngozumba Glacier to reach at Tragnang. Spend your overnight at local lodge.
Day 10: Trek to Dzongla via Chola Pass (Altitude: Cho-la pass: 5330 m/17589 ft. Dzongla: 4830 m/15939 ft. Trek: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Today will be a long day of your trek and required a bit technical, as you will be crossing the pass. The presence of steep glacial section on the east makes this pass a technically demanding walk. Ice covered rocks make day’s trek tricky with slippery attributes. Beginning the trek, we walk through rocky ravine to the top of the pass, which is marked by fluttering prayer flags and chortens. The pointed Ama Dablam along with Cholatse soars Lobuche East and Baruntse are extremely beautiful vistas from the top. Now traversing across some crevasses we arrive to Dzongla Village.
Day 11: Trek to Everest Base Camp, back to Gorakshep (Altitude: EBC: 5357m/17678 ft. Gorakshep: 5140 m/16960 ft. Trek: 6/7 hrs. Meal: BLD)
It is the most interesting and challenging day of this trip as day starts with a mixture of excitement and anxiety. Today, you will hike up to the Everest base camp at an altitude of 5364 m. You will headed through the horizontal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. On the way to Gorekshep, you will witness the north ridge of Mt. Everest, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Mahalangur, Mt. Nuptse and many more. Further climbing through the Changri Glacier, you can have first glimpse of Kalapatthar. You will stop at Gorekshep for a lunch; then continue to walk for your ultimate destination- the Everest Base Camp. The splendid views of the mountains and scenarios makes the journey livelier, even snubbing all the tiresome walk in the steep route. The trail will last for approximately 3 hours from Gorekshep. Once you reach at base camp, you can actually see the deadliest route to the Everest that make the journey more adventurous. You will get to spend quality time exploring the base camp and surrounding areas and return to Gorak Shep to spend the night.
Day 12: Trek to Kalapatthar, trek back to Lobuche (Altitude: Kalapatthar: 5550 m/18315 ft. Lobuche: 4910 m/16203 ft. Trek: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Next to Everest Base camp, this day is too exciting and adventurous hiking to Kalapatthar. You will get an early morning call from our guide to get ready to hike first at Kalapatthar. The reason is to catch the sparkling yellowish snowcapped over the mountains especially Mt. Everest by the strike of every rays during sunrise. Every second become an exciting moments of lifetime; well, don’t forget to capture in camera. Then, you will return back to Gorekshep with refreshing mood and descend back towards Lobuche where you spend your overnight.
Day 13: Trek to Lobuche High Camp (Altitude: 5,400m/17,712ft Trek: 4/5 hrs. Meal: BLD)
A couple of hours trek that initially goes along leveled trail and then treads steeply on rock strewn path brings you to Lobuche Base Camp. Throughout the trek as it stretches along Lobuche Glacier the scenic views Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pokalde, Thamserku, Kantega and other Himalayas feast our eyes. From the base camp, you will continue walking on a rocky moraine towards High camp. On reaching High camp, set out a camp and rest in the snowy land. Taking a time, you will be trained with some useful peak climbing techniques. The training also comprises using climbing gears like ice axe, climbing boot, harness and ropes. Give your 100% in learning the technique, it will really boost you confidence and climbing skills which increases the chances of scaling the summit enjoying every moments. Spend overnight at camp.
Day 14: Climb to the Summit [5760m] and Return to Base Camp (Altitude: 6119m/20,070 ft. Trek: 9/10 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Climbing to the summit of Lobuche Peak begins at the midnight to avoid the nasty wind that prevails in the region during noon preventing us to reach the summit. Until 5700m the climb uphill comprises walk along the rocky trail and then icy walk caters adventure. Using the fixed rope you will conquer the summit of Lobuche Peak. Lobuche caters the most beautiful Himalayan panorama. From the apex, you savor outstanding vistas of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumori, and many other peaks of Khumbu. Spend the most quality time of your life at the summit observing the nature’s magnificence and trek down back to High Camp. Spend time at camp.
Day 15: Contingency day
Weather in the Himalayas is quite unpredictable. Hence, it is good to take on contingency day considering unfavorable weather or any other obstructions that might delayed the group in climbing peak. If the group summit the peak in the planned date and everything goes well, this day could be cut off from the itinerary.
Day 16: Trek to Tengboche (Altitude: 3867m/12760 ft. Trek: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Today, you will mostly trek downhill. As you retrace your steps from Lobuche, you will descend to Pheriche. You can visit The Himalayan Rescue Association, a trekker’s aid post. You will stay for a while for your lunch. Then, you will cross the Khumbu River by a wooden suspension bridge and follow the Imja River walking in ups/down trail through the forest to Tengboche. Tengboche is renowned for the largest monastery where a biggest festival Mani Rimdhu is held. Spend overnight at lodge.
Day 17: Trek to Namche (Altitude: 3440 m/11352 ft. Trek: 4/5 hrs. Meal: BLD)
It will be the steep down following the River, crossing bridge and enjoying the route decorated with birch and rhododendron forest. Your sight will even keep on catching few Himalayan giants including Everest, Kwangde, Tawache, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kantega and Thamserkhu. Overnight will be refreshing at Namche.
Day 18: Trek to Lukla (Altitude: 2840/ 9372 ft. Trek: 4/5 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Today is the final day of the trip. You will walk following Dudh Koshi River down to Lukla. You will have a celebration with the involvement of the Guide, Sherpa and Porters as well. They will serves some local’s beer called “CHANG” and enjoy party learning some dance step from traditional Sherpas.
Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Flight: 30 minutes Meal: B/D)
You will board a plane back to Kathmandu. Arriving at Kathmandu you will be transferred to your hotel and rest of the day will be your leisure time. You can go for shopping, message, or rest at Hotel. Evening time, we invite you for farewell dinner at authentic restaurant. You can share your experience, feedback us and give us a chance to make your evening a wonderful time. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 20: Departure (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: B)
