Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek 10 days is the best way to reach the base of Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Macchapuchre and capture the spectacular Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machapuchhre (6993 m) and Hiunchuli (6441). This moderate trek suits to all the experienced and inexperienced trekkers longing to trip in the namesake of mountain trekking.
Every moment the trek rewards with the worthwhile watch. It may be culture, landscapes or the pleasant weather. Annapurna Conservation Area Project has the lead role in preserving the floras, faunas, wild lives, and the fragile nature of the region. The conserved area includes both the Base Camps Machapucchre and Annapurna. The trek in the region is also particularly popular because the trial also takes you the famous trekking peaks of Nepal including Tent Peak, Fluted Peak, and Hiunchuli.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel - Altitude: 1,300m/4,264ft
On your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, one of our representatives will pick up you and escort you to the hotel as well as help you to check-in at the hotel. After your refreshment, you will be briefed about the next day trip.
Day 02: Fly to Pokhara, drive to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk (Altitude: 823m/2,700ft; 1940m/6360 ft. Flight: 30 min Drive: 1 and a half hrs. Trek: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
After having breakfast, our driver will drop you at Kathmandu domestic airport. Just flying off around 30 minutes, you will reach Pokhara, where our guide will pick you. From Pokhara, you will have an hour drive along the Modi River Valley, reach Nayapul. From Birethanti, you will trek to Ghandruk, a beautiful village mostly inhabited by the Gurung community. Overnight at local lodge.
Day 03: Trek from Ghandruk to Sinuwa (Altitude: 2,360m/7,742ft Trek: 5-6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Following beautiful forest of Rhododendron to Kuldhihar, and walking in an easy downhill, you will reach the Bamboo, and then the trail continues passing through a dark bamboo forest, you will gently ascend in a slightly steep path. Just reaching the Himalaya Hotel, the forest gets thinner and you can view the glacial river underneath. Climbing steeply up for a while on a rocky trail through the forest, you will reach Hinko cave. From here, you will encounter several gorges and avalanche track till Deurali. Overnight at Deurali local lodge.
Day 05: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (Altitude: MBC-3700m/12135ft and ABC-4,130m/13,545ft; Trek: 5-6 hours; Meal: BLD)
Today will be an interesting walk leading you toward ultimate destination of this trek. You will climb gently through a river bed then over a steep trail to the mountainside. The hike from Bagar to Machhapuchhre Base Camp will be a bit strenuous, however, you can get an excellent view of the magnificent Machhapuchhre, and surrounding mountains including Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna. Spending time for a while, you will follow the trail to ABC. It will be a short but exciting walk in a fairly gentle ascent trail to Annapurna South Base Camp. Impressive views of picturesque landscape and the snowcapped Himalayas surrounding you really feel amazing. The sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything impeding the 360-degree panorama. Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 06: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (Altitude: 2310m/7578ft; Trek: 7-8 hours; Meal: BLD)
Spend your time enjoying sunrise view over the Himalayas, then retrace your journey back to Bamboo. It will be the steep downhill walk passing through the forest to the lodge at Bamboo. Take rest and enjoy the refreshing surrounding. Overnight at local lodge.
Day 07: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Hot Spring (Altitude: 1,780m/5,859 ft. Trek: 5-6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Today, you will have a short climb to Khuldi Ghar and retract to Sinuwa hill, hereafter you will follow long downhill to the Chhomrong Khola and continue trek up to the Chhomrong. After a lunch break, trek steeply descends towards the Jhinu Danda for an overnight stay. Allowing time, you can go for a visit to natural hot spring down to the stream and enjoy the dip bath and relax.
Day 08: Trek from Jhinu Hot Spring to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara (Altitude: 823 m/2715 ft. Trek: 6/7 hrs. Drive: 1 hrs. Meal: BL)
A final day to trek in Annapurna and be a long distance walk following Modi River to the way reaching Landruk village. From here, you will follow the downhill path leading back to the Modi River reaching Syauli Bazaar, where you will stay for lunch. The walk is pleasant most of the way following the Modi River to Birethanthi and back to Nayapul. Now, the trek ends here and drives back to Pokhara. Rest of the time at your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Fly back to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: B)
Now, it’s a time to return back to Kathmandu. You can either fly back to Kathmandu. Spend your time as you like. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10: Departure transfer (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: B)
It is the last day with us. Our supporting team will take you to the airport for your final departure. We hope to see you again. Additionally, if you have the plan of any adjoining trip, you can let us organize.

Walking in higher altitudes is more physically demanding than walking in the lower altitudes, however, if we are in excellent health with average physical fitness, have a positive attitude, self-confidence, and strong determination, we can accomplish the trek successfully. Exercising and jogging regularly for some weeks prior to the trip is a good idea to enhance our strength and stability. Past hiking experience would be an asset but no technical skill is required for this trip. It is important that we consult with our doctor before we decide and set up for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases should inform Treks Planner Nepal before booking the trek.
